Should I close the regulator knob when sitting on the NEATCOLON and water has already entered?

No! Water must continually flow inside.

However, for some people it can be useful, especially the first few times, to close the regulator knob, stand up and massage the belly for 1-2 minutes to help soften the faeces and then defecate freely after having removed the NEATCOLON from the WC.

Should I close the water and stand up when I feel the stimulus?

No! Sit calmly on the toilet and evacuate without closing the water flow.

I have used the NEATCOLON and I have noted a little blood.

When you sit on NEATCOLON, the body must be perpendicular to the speculum.

In addition you must lubricate both the anus and the speculum, with Vaseline (grease is even better).

How much water has to enter?

There is no conventional dose. The quantity of water is determined by our capacity to resist to it, which varies from person to person.

Generally, water transit time significantly increases if the regulator knob opening is reduced. Anyway, you can resist for 10-20 seconds if the knob is completely open, then evacuation is necessary.

I am sitting on the NEATCOLON, but I do not feel water entering.

It may occur that the rectal channel (where the speculum goes in), is positioned in such a way that organic material, especially if it is hard, blocks the hole in the speculum where the water comes out.

Furthermore, the speculum could enter transversally and lean on the sides of the rectal channel blocking the speculum hole especially in cases of "prolapsis" (tissue relaxation). In this case shift your sitting position a little and sit perpendicularly on the speculum.

How often can I use the speculum?

Absolutely only once.

I cannot hold the water inside.

This rarely happens but if it does then "train" the sphincter to "contract" and knot around the speculum; sometimes it is useful to slightly change water temperature or warmer or colder or reduce water flow.

Can I use NEATCOLON if I suffer from a renal pathology? My wife has been using it for 6 months and is very satisfied, but I am very doubtful.

Can I use it more than once per day?

You can use NEATCOLON safely several times per day.

Can the button act as regulator?

No! The button only starts water flow.

How long does a cleansing session last?

It depends on your body; some minutes, an hour or more.

Can children use NEATCOLON?

Yes, put a reducing board on the toilet. You can buy it at the chemist.

How fast should the water enter?

There is no problem even with the regulator knob completely open!

What should the water temperature be?

Usually 38° C.

This temperature is easily detectable during the session from the water coming out of the compensator tube.

When is the best moment to use NEATCOLON?

When you feel the need to evacuate. When there is meteorism, flatulence or intestinal gas, the intestine informs you about the necessity to evacuate.

When I use the universal toilet seat adapter my penis gets in the way.

This may be a problem for men with a wide pelvis. Reposition the Universal Toilet seat adapter sideways.

When should the filter be changed?

This depends on the amount of limestone present in the water. Check the filter and wash it after 10 to 15 cleansing sessions and replace it every 6 to 8 months.

Does bacterial flora decrease using NEATCOLON for half an hour?

A half-hour treatment with NEATCOLON can decrease a little bacterial flora. You should reintegrate it with some Lactic Ferment, at least 3 times per week.

Can I use the NEATCOLON if I have some rhagades?

Can I use the NEATCOLON if I sometimes suffer from anal itching?

This problem is often caused by an allergenic reaction to soap or dark colour underwear, creating noxious bacteria. Using the NEATCOLON is very useful in these cases.
